Privacy Policy
This policy explains how EdonX, a unit of Kingster Education, collects, uses, shares, stores and protects personal information when you enquire about, compare or apply for an online programme.
Information we collect
- Identity and contact details such as name, email, mobile number, city and preferred language.
- Academic and professional information including qualifications, marks, work experience and career goals.
- Programme interests, counselling notes, application documents, communications and consent records.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser/device data, referring source, page activity and cookie identifiers.
- Payment references and refund information where EdonX directly collects a disclosed service fee.
How we use information
- To answer enquiries and provide programme comparison and personalised counselling.
- To assess indicative eligibility and support applications, documentation and enrolment coordination.
- To share relevant information with a university selected by the student for admission-related purposes.
- To provide service communications, prevent fraud, improve our services and comply with legal obligations.
- To send optional promotional information only where permitted, with a method to opt out.
Sharing and responsibility
- Information may be shared with selected partner universities and authorised providers of hosting, CRM, communications, analytics, verification, payment and support services.
- A university separately controls information it receives for admissions, academic delivery, examinations, student records and degree conferral under its own privacy notice.
- EdonX may receive marketing, referral or enrolment-based compensation from partner universities. EdonX does not sell personal information as a standalone data-brokerage activity.
Retention, security and rights
- We retain information only for the period reasonably required for counselling, application records, consent, legal compliance, dispute resolution and fraud prevention.
- Reasonable access controls, secure transmission, confidentiality and vendor safeguards are used, although no online system can be completely secure.
- Subject to applicable law, students may request access, correction, updating or erasure; withdraw consent; raise a grievance; or exercise other available data-principal rights.
Children and external websites
- EdonX services are intended primarily for adults seeking higher education. Where the law treats an applicant as a child, verifiable parent or guardian consent may be required.
- University, payment and social-media websites have their own policies. Students should review them before submitting information.
Terms of Use
These terms govern the EdonX website and its programme-discovery, counselling, application-support and enrolment-coordination services.
EdonX’s role
- EdonX is an education-technology and enrolment-support platform. It is not a university, does not independently decide admission, conduct university examinations or confer degrees.
- Academic delivery, assessment, certification and degree awards remain the responsibility of the relevant university.
Programme information
- We aim to keep information accurate, but programme names, eligibility, curriculum, fees, intakes, recognition and university policies may change.
- The university’s official website, admission offer and applicable regulatory records prevail. Students must verify material information before payment or enrolment.
Student responsibilities
- Provide complete, accurate and current information and genuine documents.
- Review university eligibility, academic, examination, fee and refund rules; meet deadlines; and keep credentials secure.
- False or altered information may result in rejection, cancellation, loss of fees or other action by the university or authorities.
Counselling, admission and outcomes
- Counselling is informational and based on details supplied by the student. Recommendations do not guarantee eligibility or admission.
- EdonX does not guarantee degree completion, credit transfer, employment, promotion, salary increase, licensing, visa or immigration outcomes.
Acceptable use and intellectual property
- Users must not misuse the website, interfere with security, upload malicious material, misrepresent identity or qualifications, scrape content at scale or infringe rights.
- The EdonX name, logo, website design and original content are owned by or licensed to Kingster Education. University marks belong to their respective owners.
Law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of India. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
- Users should first seek resolution under the Grievance Policy before pursuing any remedy available under law.
Disclaimer
EdonX provides programme information, counselling and enrolment assistance. The following limitations should be read before relying on website information.
University and programme status
- EdonX is not a university and does not award degrees.
- Students must verify that the chosen university and programme are recognised or entitled for the relevant online mode and academic session on official UGC/UGC-DEB records.
Information and outcomes
- Programme information, fees, scholarships, eligibility, recognition, schedules and specialisations can change without notice. University-issued information prevails.
- No admission, academic, employment, salary, licensing, visa or other outcome is guaranteed.
- Rankings, testimonials, comparisons and career figures are illustrative and may not represent every student’s experience.
Compensation disclosure
- Universities may compensate EdonX for marketing services, qualified leads, applications or enrolments. Students should independently assess a programme’s academic, financial and career suitability.
Third parties
- External university, payment, social-media and technology services are governed by their own terms, availability and privacy practices.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
This policy applies only to a fee collected directly by EdonX for a clearly identified EdonX service. University fees are governed by the relevant university’s policy.
Free services
- Where programme discovery, counselling or application coordination is offered without an EdonX fee, no monetary refund arises. A user may cancel further counselling or promotional contact at any time.
EdonX service-fee cancellation
- Unless a service-specific page states otherwise, a refund may be requested within seven calendar days of payment if the paid EdonX service has not materially commenced.
- A paid service is treated as commenced after a scheduled paid session is delivered, a paid assessment is supplied, or EdonX submits an application or documents as part of that paid service.
Refund exclusions
- Refunds are not normally available after the cancellation period or service commencement; where false or incomplete information was supplied; or where a university rejects, delays or cancels an application for reasons outside EdonX’s control.
- A verified duplicate payment or failed transaction debit will be refunded in full after reconciliation.
- If EdonX cancels a paid EdonX service without a reasonable alternative, the unprovided portion will be refunded.
University fees and processing
- Application, registration, tuition, examination and other university fees are subject solely to the university’s published policy. EdonX may assist with communication but cannot approve a university refund.
- A refund request should include the registered contact details, receipt, transaction reference, service purchased and reason. Approved EdonX refunds are normally initiated within 7–15 business days through the original payment channel.
Cookie Policy
EdonX may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage and similar technologies to operate, secure, measure and improve its website.
Cookie categories
- Strictly necessary cookies support security, consent choices, forms and essential operation.
- Functional cookies remember selected preferences.
- Analytics cookies help understand visits, page use, performance and campaign sources.
- Advertising cookies may measure conversions, limit frequency and support relevant advertising, subject to applicable consent.
Your choices
- Where required, non-essential technologies will be used only after a visitor makes a choice through the cookie banner or settings.
- Visitors may change cookie settings, block or delete cookies through their browser, or use advertising-platform controls.
- Blocking essential cookies may affect forms, security or website functionality.
Duration and updates
- Session cookies expire when the browser closes. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until deleted.
- This policy and the live cookie controls may be updated when providers, technologies or legal requirements change.
Student Consent Policy
This policy explains the consents and declarations requested for counselling, university referral, applications, documents and communications.
Counselling and application consent
- By submitting an enquiry, a student authorises EdonX to use supplied contact, academic and programme-interest information to respond and provide counselling.
- Before an application or document is shared, the student should be informed of the selected university or clearly defined university group and authorises necessary sharing for eligibility, verification, admission and enrolment.
Student declaration
- The student confirms that all information and documents supplied are true, complete, current, genuine and lawfully obtained.
- A university may verify records with issuing institutions or lawful verification services. False or altered documents may lead to rejection, cancellation or legal action.
Communications and marketing
- Service communications may be sent by phone, email, SMS, WhatsApp or other selected channels for the active enquiry or application.
- Optional marketing consent must be separate and may be withdrawn. Essential service messages may continue while a requested service is active.
Withdrawal and records
- Consent may be withdrawn through the contact or preference mechanism. Withdrawal does not invalidate earlier lawful processing and may prevent EdonX from continuing an application-support service.
- EdonX may retain evidence of the consent wording, date, source, purpose, selected university and withdrawal.
Grievance Policy
EdonX aims to resolve website, counselling, communication, privacy, EdonX-fee and application-support concerns fairly and promptly.
Submitting a grievance
- Use the counselling/contact form and clearly write “Grievance” in the message, including the registered name, contact details, programme/university, relevant reference, dates, issue and requested remedy.
- Do not include passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs or unnecessary sensitive information.
Response process
- EdonX will endeavour to acknowledge a complete grievance within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days, subject to complexity, student cooperation and university or provider dependencies.
- Unresolved concerns may be escalated to the designated EdonX Grievance Officer. Current officer contact details should be obtained through the official EdonX contact channel.
University-controlled matters
- Academic delivery, examinations, marks, certification, degree award, university fee refunds and formal admission decisions are controlled by the university.
- EdonX may help route a concern, but students may need to use the university’s Student Grievance Redressal Committee, Ombudsperson or official portal.
External remedies
- Statutory rights are not restricted. Depending on the issue, a student may approach the relevant university mechanism, UGC student-grievance channel, National Consumer Helpline/competent Consumer Commission, or an applicable data-protection authority.
National Education Policy & Online Education Information
This section summarises the Government of India’s current education-policy direction and the regulatory checks relevant to students considering online higher-education programmes. It is informational and does not replace official Government, UGC, statutory-council or university records.
Current national policy
- As of 30 July 2026, the Government of India’s current national education policy is the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). It provides the policy direction for access, equity, quality, affordability, accountability, multidisciplinary learning, technology-enabled education and flexible learning pathways.
- NEP 2020 is a policy framework. The legal validity, recognition and operation of a specific online degree are determined by applicable laws, UGC regulations, statutory councils, university approvals and the university’s entitlement for the relevant programme and academic session.
Online and distance higher education
- Online and Open and Distance Learning programmes are governed principally by the UGC (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2020, as amended, including the Third Amendment Regulations published in 2024.
- A Higher Educational Institution may offer only programmes for which it is recognised or entitled under the applicable UGC framework and academic session. The current institution-and-programme list should be checked on the official UGC Distance Education Bureau portal before admission.
Current higher-education standards
- UGC published the Minimum Standards of Instruction for the Grant of Undergraduate Degree and Postgraduate Degree Regulations, 2025. Students should rely on the university’s official programme documents for duration, credits, entry requirements, multiple entry/exit and award conditions.
- UGC also permits eligible students to pursue two academic programmes simultaneously under its applicable guidelines, including combinations involving recognised ODL/Online programmes, subject to regulatory and university conditions.
What students should verify
- The university’s legal status and the exact programme’s UGC recognition/entitlement for the mode and academic session.
- Eligibility, duration, credits, curriculum, examination method, learner support, fees, refunds, territorial or statutory-council restrictions and award nomenclature.
- That admission and payment take place through official university or formally authorised channels and that the student receives official documentation.
- Any profession-specific recognition or licensing requirement, because UGC entitlement alone may not satisfy every professional regulator or employer.
EdonX commitment
- EdonX will present programme information with reasonable care, identify its role as an education-technology and enrolment-support platform, and encourage students to verify current official records.
- EdonX does not represent that NEP 2020 automatically recognises every online programme. University and programme entitlement must be confirmed independently.
- Where programme information conflicts with a current Government, UGC, statutory-council or university record, the official record prevails.
